Weill Cornell Medicine accepts dermatology residents through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Four to five resident positions are available each year. The deadline for completed applications is November 1.
Weill Cornell Medicine participates in a common interview week with other New York City programs during the month of January. The 2022-2023 interviews will take place virtually on January 24 and 25, 2023. The program will participate in the coordinated interview release date of Nov. 21, with an expected response date by Nov. 23
Applicants must be students or graduates of approved medical schools in the United States or Canada, and must successfully complete a preliminary (PGY-1) year before being eligible to begin dermatology residency training (PGY-2). We accept applications from international medical graduates who have completed PGY-1 training in the U.S. and who hold a current, valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
For the 2022 ERAS® cycle, our program will be participating in the Supplemental ERAS application pilot offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. All applicants are required to complete the MyERAS application, but the Supplemental ERAS application will be optional for our program.
As per the AAMC, the additional information collected through this is designed to help our program staff learn more about applicants’ medical education journey, including more meaningful information about work, volunteer, and research experiences, and will help us better identify applicants who fit our program environment and mission.
For more information about this pilot, please refer to the supplemental ERAS application section of the AAMC website. This supplemental ERAS application will be delivered on a survey platform that is separate from the MyERAS application and must be completed between September 1-30.
